The Maiden is the continuation of all life, the repeating of endless cycles of birth and rebirth, both of the body and of the spirit. She is dawn, eternal youth and vigor, enchantment and seduction, the WAXING MOON. Traditionally, Her color is WHITE, denoting innocence and newness.

Calling upon the goddess who represent the Maiden aspect of the Great Goddess can be useful in    various types of magick, even simple candle burning. Any type of new beginning is in the domain of the Maiden. Spring is the Maiden’s part of the year, the waxing Moon Her monthly time of power. Pagan holiday festivals connected with the Maiden are Imbolc on February 1 and the Spring Equinox. The Winter Solstice She shares with the Mother and the Crone. Christianity kept this celebration of the Spring Equinox as Easter.
