This Fine Silver Ring Necklace is hand crafted from 99.9% Pure Silver and is suspended from an 18" sterling silver chain to show simple yet elegant design.
The ring itself is hand crafted using traditional silversmith techniques and materials. Because of its method of fabrication no two rings are the same. Each ring produced has its own distinct markings. The rings are approximately 7/8" (22mm) in its outside diameter but do vary slightly in size since they are hand made.
Designed to be unique to each person's desires these rings are great to wear either for you or as a gift. You can have virtually any words, names, dates or phrases engraved on these rings. Whatever you want will be hand engraved up to 16 characters including spaces on each side of the ring.
This ring is 99.9% Fine Silver and not Sterling Silver. Sterling Silver is in actuality only 92.5% Silver and the other 7.5% other metals, usually copper. Hence the reason Sterling Silver is normally stamped as .925. The inclusion of other metals into silver is usually to either make the metal more resistant to tarnish or to increase its rigidity or strength. As the purity of silver decreases, the problem of tarnishing also increases. The ring will still tarnish and have to be polished occasionally but not nearly as quickly as lower grades of silver. The reason I chose to make this from pure silver is that I wanted the ring to be as "pure" as possible.
