Power Charms, Charm Bags and Bottles have existed for a very long time; they are a simple way of combining magickal ingredients and storing them. Little effort is needed once the ingredients are put together, so it is easy for any experienced witch to make to make these and then give them to those they wish to heal or protect without the "target" needing to do anything. Charm bags are essentially the same thing as witch bottles, except they are little cloth bags, usually of a wisely chosen color. Traditionally, a witch bottle would contain something of the person it was suppose to work on. For Example: hair or nail clippings. However, these days, this is generally left out in favor of wearing the bottle as a pendant or keeping a charm or charm bag in your pocket, and therefore close to your body (skin contact is preferred).
